Professional Artist // Creative Director of The Hummingbird Mill
Mandisa Surpris is the founder and artist behind The Hummingbird Mill. She specializes in highly detailed relief prints and fine art paintings. The breadth of her work draws inspiration from the natural world, music, history, and the ways in which ethnic cultures and tribes across the globe have and continue to shape humanity.
Mandisa completed her B.F.A. from the Savannah College of Art and Design and promptly moved to New York where she worked in the field of fashion design, production design, and decorative painting. The culmination of these experiences shaped her into a multidisciplinary artist; deepening her practice.
Upon returning to Atlanta, she began her journey into entrepreneurship and by the spring of 2015, she launched The Hummingbird Mill.
