About This Artwork: Inspired by mixed media collage and concert poster memorabilia “I Got Soul” is a tribute to all things music. Evoking memories of live concerts, old school record players and more, this piece celebrates the musician and the music lover.

Artists Note: “Growing up in a musical family, I feel especially connected to this piece. The title of the work stems from the icon James Brown song, “I Got Soul” which in my opinion touches the soul and gets everyone on the dance floor!”

Process: Printed with (soy-based) Akua Intaglio black and yellow ink, this permanent non-toxic material is environmentally safe creating lasting vibrant colors.

The hand carved block is pressed and printed on 13" x 16" (gelatin-free) Somerset Legion Hot Press Watercolor Paper. This acid free paper is recyclable, mold-resistant and made of 100% cotton making it both strong and slightly textured to the touch.
